Before and After School Activities
Our own school staff run a number of clubs for children both before and after school. Below is a list of current clubs taking place.
- We are using the ‘Kidz in2Sport’ organisation who are currently running a very popular after-school athletics coaching club on Tuesdays from 3.30 to 4.30pm and also coach our football club on Wednesdays after school.
- We use 'Team Theme', another outside specialist provider, who organise very successful football coaching sessions for all ages of boys and girls.
- We also use Greg Tattersall, a Norden Cricket Club player and coach to provide after school cricket coaching during the summer term.
- We make use of any other local authority specialist coaching opportunities available such as Tennis, Hockey, Cricket and Volleyball.
Of course sport is not the only area in which we take advantage of outside specialists.

The girls undertake a range of really interesting projects throughout the year. CC4G is run by Miss Farmery for Year 6 girls.
A brand new ICT club for Year 6 boys is being started this year by Mrs Cadogan. This club will be open to any of the Y6 boys who have an interest in ICT and learning to use a range of software. The club will be held on Tuesdays from 3.30 to 4.30pm.

The choir enters a number of events outside school each year, in addition to performances in school, for example the Children's Voices for Hospice Concert, which is held annually at Champness Hall. In fact, a choir from Whittaker Moss has sung at the Hospice concert every year since it began around 13years ago - the only Primary School in Rochdale to do so!
Representatives of Springhill Hospice visited at assembly time recently to present the choir with medals for taking part in the Annual Children’s Voices for Hospice Concert earlier this year.
