The children listened to the story Jonah and the Whale and discussed Jonah's actions. He had disobeyed what God had asked of him so God had sent a storm to teach Jonah a lesson. God also then sent a Whale to eat Jonah and save him. We discussed why Jonah prayed to God from inside the whale. The children talked about they story as they sequenced the pictures. The children looked at reasons why Christians might pray to God - for forgiveness, to ask for something and to thank him for things.
