As part of our literacy, we have been reading the story Freedom, which is set in the late 1700s and follows the life of a young boy called Nathaniel who is a slave. The children have produced diary entries and a double page spread about a significant black person who was involved in abolishing the transatlantic slave trade.

We then read these pieces of writing to Year 5.
